Sadly, I have never been to the farmstead as none of his children wanted the farm so he sold it. The farms location passed with my grandfather. I do remember my grandfather and I had a very special connection. He loved that I make my living with horses and am the only one in the family with any "agricultural" lifestyle. From what I remember our family also ran a livery stable in Ceylon for a while in the early 1910's. I come from the Ostic's and would love to hear anything you may want/have the time to share. I know that there a quite a few photo in my mothers storage and when I finally get the chance to look them over I would be happy to share any that are of the farmstead/barn. I am so happy that your family has been able to hold onto its land and legacy. Please feel free to contact me at any time, PSFarrierService@aol.com.
